I am going to keep this post short and sweet -- Toledo was a very last minute trip. Some of us were at the library doing some homework the Sunday before, when we realized we still didn't have any plans for the next weekend. We wanted to go somewhere relatively close, thought of Toledo, and that was that! The train tickets were bought the next day. I'm so grateful that I'm able to just spontaneously visit these amazing cities, it's still so surreal to me.
Normally we don't have class on Fridays, but that week we did, so we took off early on Saturday morning and only stayed in Toledo for one night. We stayed in a hostel (more like a hotel, honestly, it was so nice) right in the center of the city. The hostel had a beautiful rooftop terrace with an awesome view that our group of thirteen spent a lot of time hanging out on and enjoying the sunny and 70 degree February weather. At night, we went right back up there to watch the sunset over the city. Let me tell you, Spain has not been disappointing with the sunsets. This weekend also goes down in the books because I was finally able to fulfill my guac craving that started kicking in very shortly after I arrived in Spain. If you know me, you know this is a big deal.
Here's a few of my favorite shots from this charming, peaceful city. :)
